The President cannot, and will not, take a position on an ongoing trial.

White House mouthpiece, Jay Carney, when asked what Obama’s position was regarding the Gosnell murder case.

He can’t? Since when?

He had no trouble taking sides on the Trayvon Martin shooting, on the Cambridge Police actions a couple years ago or on the various school and theater shootings that have taken place.

But now he can’t take a position?

Really?

Yes, they really do think you’re that stupid.

You have got to be kidding me? Does this bitch not realize what that monster, Gosnell, did?  Or is she such a pro-abortionist that the idea of beheading newborn babies, dancing with them before murdering them, keeping their severed body parts in jars, killing women who were under his care and lord only knows what else atrocities he committed that she’s willing to overlook all that and make the outrageously stupid claim that this is about “hatred towards women”?
Give me a damn break, you silly bitch.
Any liberals care to defend this nutjob?

WPost reporter explains her personal Gosnell blackout

I began by asking the AP’s national social issues reporter why he hadn’t been tweeting to AP coverage of the Gosnell trial. I had to ask a few times and then … there it was … finally …. a tweet on the Gosnell trial. Then he told me that the AP was covering the trial (which I knew, as I’ve critiqued it here). I reminded him that I was wondering why he hadn’t been tweeting to coverage of Gosnell. I asked him to correct me if I was wrong about his lack of tweets. He didn’t.

Then I decided, since tmatt has me reading the Washington Post every day, to look at how the paper’s health policy reporter was covering Gosnell. I have critiqued many of her stories on the Susan G. Komen Foundation (she wrote quite a bit about that) and the Sandra Fluke controversy (she wrote quite a bit about that) and the Todd Akin controversy (you know where this is going). In fact, a site search for that reporter — who is named Sarah Kliff — and stories Akin and Fluke and Komen — yields more than 80 hits. Guess how many stories she’s done on this abortionist’s mass murder trial.

Did you guess zero? You’d be right.

So I asked her about it. Here’s her response:

Hi Molly – I cover policy for the Washington Post, not local crime, hence why I wrote about all the policy issues you mention.

Yes. She really, really, really said that. As Robert VerBruggen dryly responded:

Makes sense. Similarly, national gun-policy people do not cover local crime in places like Aurora or Newtown.

So when a private foundation privately decides to stop giving money to the country’s largest abortion provider, that is somehow a policy issue deserving of three dozen breathless hits. When a yahoo political candidate says something stupid about rape, that is a policy issue of such import that we got another three dozen hits about it from this reporter. It was so important that journalists found it fitting to ask every pro-lifer in their path to discuss it. And when someone says something mean to a birth control activist, that’s good for months of puffy profiles.

But gosh darn it, can you think of any policy implications to this, uh, “local crime” story? And that’s all it is. Just like a bunch of other local stories the Washington Post also refuses to cover — local crimes such as the killing of Trayvon Martin and the killing of Matthew Shepard and the killing of students at an elementary school in Connecticut. Did the Washington Post even think of covering those local crime stories? No! Oh wait, they did? Like, all the time? Hmm. That’s weird. But did they cover them in terms of policy implications? Asking politicians for their views and such? Oh they did that, too? Hmm. So weird. Oh, and Sarah Kliff herself wrote one of those stories? Well, gosh, I’m so confused.

And what policies could possibly be under discussion with this Gosnell trial? Other than, you know, abortion clinic hiring practices? And enforcement of sanitary conditions? And laws on abortion practices that extend to killing live infants by beheading them? And the killing of their mothers? And state or federal oversight of clinics with records of botched abortions? And pain medication practices? And how to handle the racist practices of some clinics? And how big of a problem this is (don’t tell anyone but another clinic nearby to Gosnell was shut down this week over similar sanitation concerns)? And disposal of babies’ bodies? And discussion of whether it’s cool to snip baby’s spines after they’re born? And how often are abortion clinics inspected anyway? What are the results of inspections? When emergency rooms take in victims of botched abortions, do they report that? How did this clinic go 17 years without an inspection? Gosh, I just can’t think of a single health policy angle here. Can you?

I mean, God forbid we go big and actually discuss abortion policy in general — something Kliff is usually quite keen to do. (Here’s her 2010 piece for Newsweek headlined Remember Roe!)

Weasel Zippers: Documentary About Gosnell Clinic:Tying Women To Bed, Forcing Abortions on Them, Dead Babies In Jars, And The ‘Special Room’ For The White Women

In a case that has already spawned so much horror, the Gosnell case is one where the more you look the more you see. And then wish you hadn’t.

In addition to the killing of babies, in and out of the womb, by essentially beheading them with scissor snips through their vertebrae, Gosnell kept jars of dead babies and baby parts strewn around the office. Women were treated with unsterile instruments and by people who were not medical professionals.

At least two women appear to have died from this negligence and by some estimates from workers at the “clinic”, over 100 babies (yes, they were already born) were killed in this manner.

The above documentary, “3801 Lancaster”, uploaded in January 2013,  notes much of this. It also adds the chilling testimony of those concerned. The woman who was raped, and became pregnant, who went to the clinic for an abortion but heard the heart beat of her child and decided not to go through with it on the table. Gosnell hit her in the legs, had her tied to the bed, gave her more drugs and proceeded with the abortion anyway. Now, the woman no longer can have any children.

When this case first broke in media, many on the left refused to look at it. Many still refuse to cover it,  not able to deal with what facing it might mean. Foolish Reporter does a good synopsis on this mentality here.

Gosnell’s defense attorney even went so far as to refer to the prosecution of Gosnell as “racist” because he was black and “serving” a poor population.

Yet, as the documentary notes, the district attorney in testimony on the matter notes that in the Gosnell clinic white women were given the “special room” that was just a little bit better than that for the people of color. Why? Because according to Gosnell, that was just the way of things in life. Unbelievable.

The latest account is from Ashley Baldwin who did ultrasounds, administered intravenous medicine and, ultimately, assisting in abortions performed by Gosnell. Ashley had no medical license. She also was a 15 year old high school sophomore at the time.

Over and over again, incidents would occur, and yet the State Department  of Health did nothing, they had not even had someone on site since 1993. Why?

Some in the documentary thought it might be because of the lack of concern about the people of color. That may well be part of it.  But as Foolish Reporter notes, it’s also because of the habit of looking away when it comes to abortion.

Nation of Islam Leader, Louis Farrakhan: U.S. gov attempting to murder billions with genetically modified food, depleted uranium bombs...

The U.S. government is working to murder 2 to 3 billion people worldwide using genetically altered food and depleted uranium bombs, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan told students at a school-hosted speech at Tuskegee University late last month.

“[T]o cull, meaning to get rid of, two to three billion people is policy,” said Farrakhan. “Now here are the methods they are using to effect global depopulation: Depleted uranium bombs… genetically modified food.”

Farrakhan, who was speaking as a guest of the Muslim Student Association in a Tuskegee University auditorium, explained the U.S. government is worried about a lack of worldwide resources and is pursuing a policy of mass worldwide genocide.

“They [the U.S. government] feel that the resources of our planet are dwindling and the people on the planet are considered useless eaters, so to get rid of them means that they have access to the raw materials of the planet without opposition because they killing the potential opposition,” he said.

And I can easily picture the idiots who sat through this nodding their heads and murmuring, “yeah, man!  That’s soooo true.”

Higher education, my ass.

More Irrelevant Fear-Mongering From The Chicken Little-In-Chief…

The Twitter account @BarackObama tonight retweeted Yoko Ono’s picture of John Lennon"s bloody glasses from the day he was murdered.
The arresting photo, which includes text that more than a million people have been killed by guns since Lennon was shot in 1980, has been retweeted more than 11,000 times since it was posted Wednesday.
A retweet by the account associated with President Obama forwarded it to his more than 28 million followers. Retweets aren’t always endorsements in Twitter etiquette, but Ono’s activism comes at a time when President Obama and Democrats’ push for more gun control after the Sandy Hook tragedy seems to be struggling.

Wait. I thought Barry and his army of Flying Monkeys were only interested in getting those evil ‘assault’ rifles off of the streets. John Lennon was shot with a handgun.
What relevance does a handgun victim have with the evil nature of dark colored, multi-attachment having rifles?  Nothing….unless your whole point is to frighten people by showing them images of blood stained glasses and manipulate them into an illogical, emotion based reaction in order to guide them into supporting unconstitutional, stupid, ineffective and dangerous policy.
Another example of how this administration is all show, smoke and mirrors and no substance.

British Judge Sentences Muslim Woman To Prison For Beating Son To Death For Not Memorizing The Koran…

A British judge on Monday sentenced a woman he called a “devoted and loving mother” to at least 17 years in prison for beating her son to death after he failed to memorize passages from the Quran.

A jury at Cardiff Crown Court in Wales convicted 33-year-old Sara Ege last month of murdering 7-year-old Yaseen and burning his body to destroy the evidence.

Judge Wyn Williams said Ege beat Yaseen repeatedly with a stick over several months, causing internal injuries.

He said that, on the day he died in 2010, Yaseen had been kept home from school to memorize verses from the Muslim holy book, and that his failure “was the trigger for the beating” that killed him.
