Obama administration officials who were in key positions on Sept. 11, 2012 acknowledge that a range of mistakes were made the night of the attacks on the U.S. missions in Benghazi, and in messaging to Congress and the public in the aftermath.

The officials spoke to CBS News in a series of interviews and communications under the condition of anonymity so that they could be more frank in their assessments. They do not all agree on the list of mistakes and it’s important to note that they universally claim that any errors or missteps did not cost lives and reflect “incompetence rather than malice or cover up.” Nonetheless, in the eight months since the attacks, this is the most sweeping and detailed discussion by key players of what might have been done differently.

“We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots,” said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. “It’s actually closer to us being idiots.”

Read that and provide me with some reason why you think that they are saying that Republicans are actually just calling them idiots.

The quote is quite clear. Republicans are calling them either liars or idiots, but this officials is saying that they aren’t liars, they are just idiots.

I think it’s both personally.

I don’t see what’s so hard to understand here. When the source says, “We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots, It’s actually closer to us being idiots”, anyone with reading comprehension skills would interpret it like this:

We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying [about what happened in Benghazi] or idiots [for allowing what happened to take place], It’s [the consequences of Benghazi] actually closer to us being idiots [for allowing what happened to happen].

Or maybe I’m just goofy.

I can tell you what. The administration still has to try many of these shitbags for crimes but, since they’re no longer in a military facility, they’ll have to be housed in a federal prison on US soil. Which means they immediately get afforded the same rights as Americans.

So instead of being tried and represented by military courts or attorneys, they now get tried in a civilian court and represented by huge dollar private attorneys…paid by the taxpayer (military attorneys receive their base pay dependent on rank so it doesn’t cost taxpayers any more than if they were any other service member).

Then, if found guilty, we get a few years or decades of appeals…where you, the idiot taxpayer who wanted these guys tried on US soil, gets to pay for all those attorneys and their aides for even more years.

But if they’re not found guilty…not that they aren’t pieces of crap terrorists (which they are) but just that they aren’t found guilty….(there’s a big difference between not being found guilty and not having done the crime)…what happens then?

They get set free!!

Not returned to their own countries but set free on US soil.

“Oh, that’ll never happen!!” you say. “They aren’t legal citizens so they’d be deported”, you say.

Think so? Once freed, after having the terrorist dream of being brought into America at the American taxpayer expense, how many of these poor victims will suddenly claim asylum? How many will say they’ll be killed (you know…because they’re terrorists) in returned to their homeland? A whole lot of them. And guess what? They’ll receive political asylum status because that’s what this administration does. Even if they don’t receive it immediately, since they were found not guilty of terrorism in a court…they get set free while courts decide their immigration status!! Then what?

They disappear.

Oh…they’ll reappear later. When they’re ready. When they’ve picked their targets. We’ll find them. Or at least their body parts… lying among the bloody wreckage of dead American civilians that they slaughtered or blew up. Or in the blood soaked halls of our children’s schools.

Yeah…you people are sheer geniuses.

Want to let these savages out of Gitmo?

Fine. Take them out back, put one behind their ear and dump their sorry, primitive, blood thirsty carcasses in a chum bucket. At least they’ll serve one positive purpose in their filthy, miserable lives by giving a shark a full belly.

And because many groups don’t have the necessary funding to fight the IRS, Jay Sekulow of the ACLJ has suggested that he might represent many of these targeted groups pro bono. If you are a freedom-loving lawyer, I encourage you to do the same. After all, it is completely unacceptable for any arm of the government to target any individual or group for any reason other than law-breaking.

A student’s bid to become associate vice president of diversity and inclusion at Northwestern University was derailed last Wednesday over accusations that his status as a white heterosexual male would make it impossible for him to perform the position’s duties.

There’s your ‘higher education’ for you. These so-called bastions of free thought and higher learning quickly show their true colors of close-mindedness and discrimination when their preconceived, racist stereotypes are put to the test.

To use their argument that a white heterosexual male would not be possible to perform these duties for no other reason than the color of his skin, sexual orientation and sex, three things he has no control over and which does nothing to define him as a person or display his proficiency or ability to deal with issues of diversity, then what makes then think a black/Asian/Hispanic or purple with polka dots female would?

Each race has their own culture, each sexual orientation has their own belief, each sex sees things through their own unique lens. So, considering that, what makes them any more qualified to deal with diversity than this guy or anyone else.

The Foreign Emergency Support Team known as “FEST” is described as “the US Government’s only interagency, on-call, short-notice team poised to respond to terrorist incidents worldwide.” It even boasts hostage-negotiating expertise. With U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens reported missing shortly after the Benghazi attacks began, Washington officials were operating under a possible hostage scenario at the outset. Yet deployment of the counterterrorism experts on the FEST was ruled out from the start. That decision became a source of great internal dissent and the cause of puzzlement to some outsiders.

Thursday, an administration official who was part of the Benghazi response told CBS News: “I wish we’d sent it.”

The official said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy, Patrick Kennedy, quickly dispensed with the idea. A senior State Department official Thursday told CBS News, “Under Secretary Kennedy is not in the decision chain on FEST deployment” but would not directly confirm whether Kennedy or somebody else dismissed the FEST.
