You didn’t earn that
You see at that surplus value you have accumulated due to privilege, power, and arbitrary relations to institutions? You didn’t earn that, the people who were deferred the costs of production did that for you.
Seriously? Whoever made/posted this, wow. Just. Wow. I am highly offended by this. You know, it’s really fucking easy for people who have jobs and money and their essential needs provided for to sit back and say that people on food stamps don’t deserve the “hand outs” they are given. But let’s strip away your job and money and all of your basic needs (running water, food and the money to buy it, clean drinking water, etc.) and see if you still ride that horse so high. Fuck. You.
Obviously, someone can’t take a joke for what it is.
In regard to the rest of your comments:
I have been homeless ( I lived in my car for about four months), out of work, broke and to the point where I actually sat in a McDonald’s parking lot debating on whether to look in their dumpster for discarded food because I was so hungry but not once did I ever consider getting on food stamps or any other ‘entitlement’ program. Some of us actually believe in working for the things we receive.
That said, I have no problem with people who fall on hard times accepting welfare for a limited amount of time in order to get back on their feet. I do have a problem with people who feel that it’s their ‘right’ and that they deserve to live off of other people’s labor and money.
Either way, whoever made this intended it to be a joke and, yes, I found it damn funny.
